INSECT GLAIVE: Getting your buffs is obviously harder in MP. Also GS is the only weapon I would recommend with a Valstrax gearset for MP since tanking damage is part of your playstyle. Aggro changes will affect your damage less this way. Slide in, land 2 big hits kinda safely, slide back out. But being able to tank hits, continue your charge, aim 360° is what makes Rage Slash so comfy in MP. Hitting True Charge Slash in MP is not easy, to say the least. Adamant Charged Slash and Rage Slash are great for MP. In Rise we have 2 GS skills that makes your life easier and will give you more consistent DPS. While these things are way harder in MP, Great Sword is still a strong choice. GREAT SWORD: Positioning, knowing the monsters next move are the most important things to pull of good Great Sword DPS. I feel like this is one of the easiest weapons in MP to prevent taking damage while putting out high DPS. If however the monster attacks you, you still have your quick dashes and Shrouded Vault to dodge/counter attacks. Having less aggro benefits the Dual Blades imo. Even when you can't constantly hit weakspots because the monster moves alot (aggro switches) its still at the top of the table.ĭUAL BLADES: fast, strong, versatile. Especially if you practice the animation cancel power shot method with mouse and keyboard. If you use the right element combined with the 'best' type for the monster you're hunting (rapid/spread/pierce) almost no weapon in the game will do more consistent damage then the bow. Not much more to say.īOW: This thing is just bonkers. Especially on PC because aiming with a mouse is way easier. are higher in MP both Bowguns still have incredible damage. HEAVY/LIGHT BOWGUN: While the threshold for exhaust/knockdowns/. Combine that with being a half decent Long Sword user and you have a DPS machine. Just the sheer amount of damage it does with attacks is the reason its also for MP in S tier. LONG SWORD: While LS relies heavily on counters, the damage it does without being able to pull of counters all the time is still insane. While this is not accurate because skill is a huge factor it still gives me somewhat of an indicator. I also play with a lobby DPS indicator mod, which shows me how much damage each player did. I will just go over them and give some explanation. Note: The weapons are not in particular order in their respective tiers. Playing the weapon/build you enjoy the most should be priority #1.īut OP whats the difference between SP and MP weapon wise? Well to give a few examples: monster aggro, being able to bring only 1 companion, attacks that stagger teammates etc, impacts how weapons preform different in MP. Playing something less fun just to do more damage is in my eyes not the way to go. This means i'm not talking about coordinated teamplay with a premade group.įirst of all the best weapon for multiplayer is the weapon you enjoy the most. After 200 hours playtime (99% of it is mulitplayer) and testing out almost every weapon in the game I want to share my experience and opinion. I started playing Rise when it launched on Steam. I've seen a lot of Rise weapon tier lists but these are mostly solo play/speed run tier lists.
