![]() The Quraysh, who were his tribe and his family, constantly ridiculed, humiliated and oppressed the Prophet (saw) and his followers. Enjoy!Īl-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj took place during a time when the Prophet (saw) was facing intense hardship and pain. This blog will narrate the first half of the Miraculous Journey and we have included as much detail as we could. In fact, there were many stops along this incredible journey, and the story is packed with wonders and miracles. Many of us only know the basic story of Al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj - that the Prophet (saw) was transported from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, from where he (saw) ascended to heaven. Be fair and take care out there.Al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj (the Night Journey & Ascension) is a miracle second only to the revelation of the Qur’an, and it is therefore important that we don’t let this night slip by without reflecting on its lessons and its significance. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope that it was helpful - please rate it accordingly. I'm pleased to have this one as part of my personal collection and revisit it often. The interactive menus and CD ROM extras are all well done and add well to the whole package and overall DVD experience. The 2 different Commentary Tracks and Deleted Scenes, in particular, are all excellent and provide lots of insightful background info. ![]() Music Videos, Trailers, Production Notes and Special Effect Featurettes are standard fare. Of course, the DVD is loaded w/ worthw hile extras. I was pleasantly caught off-guard by the originality of the story's direction a different twist on the Space Exploration/ Sci-Fi/ Time Travel genre. This modern remake also features 3 of the original Lost in Space cast members in cameo roles! The intense action and standout special effects is what really makes this one worth checking out. Starring a great cast: William Hurt (of Dark City), Matt LeBlanc (of TV's Friends), Gary Oldman (of The 5th Element) also featuring Mimi Rogers and Heather Graham (both of Austin Power's fame). This version manages to give a great ohmage to the campy-classic Lost in Space TV series, while being truly original on it's own as a modern Sci-Fi film. This film is definately one of my favorite modern "remake" movies. Get LOST IN SPACE w/ the family "Danger, Will Robinson" This is the reason I award this move four stars instead of five. I assumed he was unavailable because of his involvement in Babylon 5, but that wasn't the case. What would have Mumy's cameo scene was very obviously intended for him and was greatly diminished by his absence so much so that when I saw it the first time, I found myself distracted wondering why the hell he wasn't in it. From what I've read, he was asked to appear and agree to do it, but the director got cold feet and decided it would distract audiences from the story. Unfortunately, Billy Mumy (Will Robinson) wasn't among them. A treat for fans is the cameo appearances by several of the original TV cast members. It updates the classic 1960s TV series without ridiculing it or descending into parody. It's a really fun movie with an engaging story and excellent (for its time) special effects. This move got poor reviews when it came out and is now pretty much forgotten, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Unfortunately and unfairly, Lost in Space has been lumped into that ignoble category. Most of the were atrocious and best forgotten. In the 1990s and early 2000s, Hollywood seemed to churn out big screen adaptations of classic TV shows by the handful. An underrated film that truly deserves to be considered a classic.
